About AMS
Ansonia Middle School is a Grade 6-8 school.
AMS is one of three Ansonia schools participating in an after school program in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley and Valley Regional Adult Education. The program is sponsored by the State Department of Education through a 21st Century Grant Program.
AMS students are assigned to teams of teachers, who are experts in the areas of reading, writing, mathematics, science, and history. Every month students from each team are recognized for their academic achievements. AMS has a Dress Code policy along with our other schools in the district.
Ansonia Public Schools participates in a state initiative to improve attendance led by the State of Connecticut attendance office and the State of Connecticut Office of Policy and Management, and directed locally by a Building Leadership Attendance Team.
